“Uniting the World through Art” A week long Artist in Resident stay featuring 2 Art Exhibitions & a week of Cultural Exchange
The Arts District Alliance, a project of Arts District Community Council LA (ADCCLA), is based in the heart of the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. Its mission is to create an annual exchange with international artists representing arts district’s worldwide. The focus of the exchange is to offer an opportunity to create dialogue, collaboration and discovery between artists and community members as well as create exposure for their artwork.
For January 2015, we will be launching the first exchange with artists from 798 Arts District in Beijing China and the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. The program runs from Tuesday January 20th – Sunday, January 25th The exhibition will be open for the duration of the artists stay.
In addition 4 artists from the neighborhood were selected to be a part of the exhibition to enhance the relational experience between the Artists themselves and art patrons.
The week will culminate in a private reception for the artists where they will meet and mingle with local artists of varying vocations. Check out and like our facebook page to find out how you can attend.
